Fishing Report for 7-16-12

Good fishing during a heat wave like are now experiencing can be tough for sure. A few things to keep in mind to make your trip more enjoyable may seem simple but can make all the difference. First avoid the heat of the day. Fishing early and/or late in the day is huge, not only from an angler comfort point of view but for the fish too. Many fish just shut down during mid day and bite very little, getting out early is the way to go. Staying well hydrated is also key to feeling good and thinking clearly in the heat. I always keep plenty of water and gatorade on board when it’s hot.
Good luck and good fishing,
Jim Stroede
