Fishing Report for 6-8-2011

Lakes are warming up here in the Hayward/Spooner area, water temps in the mid 60’s to low 70’s are common. Walleye fishing has been good one day and bad the next, I’m not really sure why just that it is. Jigs and leaches or crawlers have worked better than minnows lately. Deep weeds are a good starting point every day. Bass fishing is remaining good. Rapalas and spinnerbaits are a good choice right now. Muskies have been ok, not great but ok. Big Game Twitchbaits and rubbertailed crankbaits have been catching a few fish. Bluegills are biting pretty well in the shallows now. Little jigs and worm chunks under small bobbers will put some fish in the livewell.

Good luck and good fishing,
