Fishing Report for 2-9-13

Winter has settled in for the long haul here in Northwest Wisconsin. Yet in spite of the cold and snow signs of spring can be detected in lengthened days and added sunlight. Surly the season will change and leaves will bud from trees, grass will green and fish will spawn as they always have. Nature always moves forward.
As for the present, ice conditions are good. Fish are being caught in predictable areas and with traditional methods. We are said to be getting a major winter snow starting this eve, so far freezing rain is what we’ve got.
Good luck and good fishing,
Jim Stroede
